Miravau - Portimão

It was our first meal in Portugal! Really fresh and tasty seafood. The owners, a couple, were very attentive, friendly and professional! Thank you.

This is our 3rd year in a row visiting Portimao and we discovered Miravau last year and couldn't wait to get back there again this trip. This is a very nice restaurant with great food and very good prices. Antonio is a wonderful man who has always taken care of us. His only goal is to make sure you have a good dining experience. They have very fresh fish, nice cuts of meat, good salads, and very tasty desserts. All the food is prepared very well and Antonio's service is the best. This is truly the kind of family restaurant you want to try to really experience Portugal. It is not fancy from the outside but don't be fooled, it is very nice and clean inside and very comfortable. Thank you to Antonio and the Chef and his staff for making our stay in Portimao very happy. We will return to Miravau whenever we get back to Portimao.

The sad ending was for the octopus I had. It's life was terminated and it was transformed into a nice dinner for me. Grilled with potatoes and garlic it was named Polvo a lagueiro. A dish for any octopus lover to savour. You need to like octopus for sure! This was good.. really good due to its simplicity lifting the octopus. One support to this nice experience was the person taking orders. He loves his job I'm sure. Discussing how the dish was made and even supplying a friendly lesson in Portuguese. Well needed and liked. Obrigado
