Masala House - Portimão

With a partner from Birmingham, curry is in our DNA. From a delicious pickle tray to two delicious curries and (in his words) one of the best peshwari naans he’s ever had, this place was a delight. Incredibly fast and helpful service and a great meal.

We stumbled across this place on our way to a boat tour and decided to take a chance since we’d been away from home for a few weeks and hadn’t had Indian food since. So glad we decided to eat here! The food was super fresh, authentic, and absolutely delicious! And it was super reasonable in cost less than 1/2 of what we would pay for lower quality food at an Indian restaurant in the US. Highly recommend!

This meal, like many in the town was delicious. Great, fast service with hot delicious food make our experience fantastic. Unlike myself, my husband and friends like a spicy dish and we were all so impressed in the quality and complex flavours of the dishes. We would all highly recommend and return here.

I normally don't go for Indian food in a city near the sea prefer seafood) but this place was open and welcoming. The prices were very reasonable and we took a chance . I ordered the butter chicken because you can judge a chefs talent on a simple dish. They didn't disappoint me at all. In fact it tasted better than the food at the best Indian Restaurant in my home town. Excellent service, prompt and courteous. My family had similar excellent dish with their lamb and chicken dishes. I would definitely come back if I lived here.

Had been staying in prai de rocha in Portugal, we had exhausted many of the highly rated restaurants . After venturing further afield we had visited masala House as my husband always misses a good home cooked curry which this place matched!! Thankyou to Akaash for making this such a pleasant visit unfortunately we didn't have enough room for dessert , this gives us a good excuse to come back !
