Might just have been not to our taste but I had fish and it wasn't good. Service was also all over the place and I was brought my main before the starter and my wife was missed out altogether. Would not come back here.
Stumbled upon this place quite late in our holiday but ended up visiting again the following night. Superb food, a lovely atmosphere and excellent service, i fully recommend. Special mention for the wonderful waitress Saaliha who is an absolute gem and a person who the restaurant would do very well to keep hold of. All in all a fantastic dining experience!
I wish I could give zero stars because this “restaurant” should be allowed to be open. The staff is super young and inexperienced, when asked to explain some meals they clearly had no idea themselves. After ordering we waited more than an hour. What arrived after an hour honestly made us lose our appetite. We got “batatas assadas” which should be potatoes in the oven but ended up being old cooked potatoes just throwed into the fryer. They honestly tasted like they had already gone bad so we couldn’t eat them. The salad came without any dressing and already super mushy like it has been sitting in it’s tiny bowl the whole day long. The vegetables that come as a condiment are just bagged veggies you can buy at every supermarket. It’s just warmed up with no salt, pepper or whatever. Plain veggies out of the bag. The portions are pretty poorly served since you can’t eat the condiments they come with. Overall an horrible experience, just walk past this “restaurant” for your own well being.
A very handy place to eat in Praia De Rocha at the Alvor end of the strip. Great Value and quite relaxed with no fuss or hassle. Great variety on the menu and after eating here maybe 6 or 7 times in our last 2 visits to Praia De Rocha I am confident enough to say we will be back again on our next visit. The rest of the family with me have steaks and fish but I usually stick with the €9.95 for 3 course meal. Now being Irish the starter and dessert are miniscule for the likes of what we are used to but the main course such as pork in a mushroom sauce with extra roast spuds of course is often enough on its own to fill me up. Staff can be a bit manic sometimes but I suppose its quite a long season there. Nice port with your meal is a huge advantage to dining here.
We went for the €9.95 menu plus a beer each! Soup was light and delicious, didn't taste at all like British tinned soup! Had the piri piri chicken, really authentic and spicy. Had the creme brulee for dessert, was a bit runny but otherwise lovely. Excellent value for money and easy to find.
