Restaurant IKEA - Portet-sur-Garonne

I had been to Blagnac airport and went to Ikea on the way back. By the time I'd finished shopping for bits for ourselves and for friends, I fancied something tasty for lunch. Well, I shouldn't have gone to the Ikea restaurant! I had the Plat du Jour which was Brochette d'Onglet with Ble Complet and veg. The meat was tender but that was the best that could be said. When in France I'm used to having my beef at rare to medium rare, this beef had the barest touch of pink. So by the time anyone would come in at 12.30, the meat would not only be grossly overcooked, it would be, as mine already was, totally tasteless. I'm a big fan of Ble Complet with veg, but although there was a mix of beans, courgettes, onion and a few other things through the Ble, other than colour, one would hardly have guessed. The texture and taste was bland, to say the least. When cooked at home, this is a very tasty and satisfying dish. In Ikea, it merely filled a space. I was definitely not impressed. I haven't eaten in the restaurant very often and definitely do not like the meatballs. I've had coffee and a cake or an ice cream or even a tasty snack. But this meal was a complete disappointment. So I definitely will not be back!

Went to the restaurant today which I would describe as catering for the masses poor quality and very expensive. Nearly 27 euros for a small piece of salmon chips and soggy veg,standard desert,water and lousy coffee. I thought Ikea wanted to attract customers. Next time I will take my sandwiches

Food reasonable ,self service trays although limited menu I always go for the fish and chips ,alright the fish is prepacked as are the chips but hey it’s a furniture store

Stopped for Lunch while perusing the Ikea stock and had a very good experience. We both had their 'fish and chips ' which while not being a match for what you could expect in the UK, it was a good effort and very keenly priced. Comfort and décor were as you might expect, but all things considered, for what it was and how much it was, it really was a very good lunch.

Nous choisissons un pavé de saumon, pour le choix de l'assortiment, refus catégorique de nous servir du boulgour avec petits légumes, réservé au menu végétarien, choix imposé entre frites, pâtes crème fraîche et lardons ou pommes de terre sautées. Tout est froid et les rations laissent à désirer.La salade de fruits et fruits coupés n'ont aucun goût, visiblement trempés dans de l'eau pour un semblant de fraîcheur.La qualité n'y est plus, c'est regrettable, le restaurant IKEA était une étape agréable après les courses dans un magasin qui a déjà bien baissé au niveau de la qualité du personnel.
