Pilot House - Porters Neck

A delightful location on the river, with seating both inside and out, we dined on sumptuous food while enjoying the peacefulness of the water. Although there were constantly people along the Boardwalk, as well as the restaurant being quite busy, we felt we could relax and have conversation without having to raise our voices. Our waitress was so sweet and kind, kept our glasses full, and made sure we had everything we needed. She answered all the questions the children had about things they were seeing in the water (such as a tiny, floating dock and what it was used for for the restaurant). The food was absolutely incredible. This is a popular location, so we recommend making a reservation, as it gets very, very busy!

Lunch menu is limited. Food was average. Great location and view.

When my party got there we had to wait an additional 30-40 minutes after our reservation. Then we had a waitress give us an attitude while asking her what she said because we couldn’t hear what she was saying. Then when the food came it was like half portions because it was the end of the night. It was almost as if we had to put two meals together to make one meal. My “crab stuffed salmon” hand no crab stuffed in it, it was just thrown on top

Save your money shrimp are not supposed to be spongy

Sad!! We have eaten at the Pilot House for years but won’t be going back. Our favorite the Crunchy Catfish is no longer on the menu so we ordered appetizers only. Had to send the bisque back for lack of any seafood. Very disappointed in our food but our waitress was very nice.
