Weird experience here.First, the good. Food was tasty and was out very quickly. The poke in particular was my favorite. Nice spicy kimchi. No high chair for the kiddos, but that's ok.Reason I'm giving two stars was that the purple haired oyster shucker/server was actively inimical to my wife, my kid, and myself the whole time. Refused to make eye contact, short answers or no answers to questions, just rude service in general. Not only to us but other customers as well. What made it super weird was the place is obviously OK with having kids around, as the kids of one of the staff members were initially in the restaurant when we came in, and other staff members were friendly to myself and my family. Maybe this lady was just having a bad day or something, but it threw off the whole experience for us, despite the food being good.
Oysters and crab were not fresh we brought this to their attention and they wanted to let us know all oysters were harvested the day before. We ordered avariety so know that was a lie. We couldn't even eat the crab or oysters bad taste. Avoid!
Casual dining, cozy atmosphere, friendly and efficient service, delicious food, this restaurant ticked all the boxes for us! Thanks for the yummy cookie Salty Girl!
What a great place to eat. The best Clam Chowder I have had anywhere. Lots of clams. Wife and I had the bowl. We both loved it.I also had the Poke Bowl served on a plate with cubes of cold raw Ahi with a wasabi aioli served over some homemade kimchi and white rice. I could have easily eaten three of these. The kimchi was perfect. Better than any I have ever had. Wife even said it was pretty good and she hates kimchi! The Ahi was delicious and they give you a lot of chunks.Wife had the Penn Cove mussels and said they were the best. They were large and plentiful. We will definitely be back to this place to try the other items on the menu. Came to about $60 for two.
