Pane D'amore Artisan Bakery

This is a tiny bakery that makes a BIG impression: fantastic pastries and an extensive selection of loaves of bread. Everything looked wonderful; however, we were traveling, so we only selected two items, a croissant, and a muffin. YUMMY, I could have purchased one of everything, but that wasn’t reasonable.

Maybe it was a bad morning for her but the server there never cracked a smile and barely said two words. Felt like I was merely an annoyance.

Living outside of Seattle, we enjoy visiting Port Townsend several times a year. Do not miss Pan d'Amore Bakery. This place is awesome and we always make a point to stop in. Last weekend on our way home from camping at Fort Worden we made a quick stop to the bakery. There was no obvious signage on approach stating the line was outside. There were three people standing in front of the bakery in a circle facing each other talking...didn't look like a line. I proceeded to enter the bakery when all three yelled at me they were in line and the line began outside. I apologized saying I'm sorry I didn't realize they where in line. That is when shrill Karen said, Well it isn't a revolution Seriously?? All that drama over pastries and bread? Point is if you visit Port Townsend go to this place and be mindful the line is outside the bakery.

Beautiful bakery. pies can be ordered for a Saturday collection. check their website for what brot will be there this day. they go early, they sell out. try the macaroons!

While the baked goods were sufficient, the customer service was very lacking. my man and I went in, it was our first visit, stupidly we thought there would be a greeting or greeting of any kind. after a quick perusal of the articles that made our selection and the purchase, there was no interaction until I passed, thank you, and have a nice day. then the person behind the counter actually spoke to us. the customer service is not what it was in many areas. I've been hoping for another experience in such a stubborn place.
