The Americana Cafe - Port Saint Lucie

Always liked this place. Didn't mind driving from Fort Pierce. But today I got a disgusting hair in my potatoes. The waitress offered the carpet but the girl working in the kitchen wouldn't let her.

I came here on a Friday around 9:30 and the place was empty but by the time I left there were about 8 tables occupied. Half the people that came in the waiter asked if they wanted their normal order. Clear indication it is a local favorite. I had the county fried steak with grits and sunny side up eggs. The dish was overall pretty good, the steak was cooked perfectly and the grits were not runny. The waiter was very attentive and refilled my coffee and water. I'm definitely coming back.

We've been dining here for many years and we love it. Great food and great staff.

The worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant or a diner I will never and I repeat never show my face or be caught at Americans Café in Port St. Lucie. I just like hate to be rude, but the N-word..

Food was good, staff was friendly. Nice little hole in the wall to get some breakfast. Will be back.
