This charming little spot in Port St. Joe is definitely worth a visit. I tried the Reuben and Dagwood Dog based on recommendations, and I’m glad I did! The Reuben was generously piled high with pastrami and sauerkraut, and the spicy dressing blended perfectly with the sandwich. Just a heads up, the sauce can be quite intense! The homemade chips were crispy and warm, but the real standout was the Chip Dip, also known as Crack Dip! This creamy and spicy mixture paired wonderfully with the warm chips (though beware, you can't order extra dips). The Dagwood Dog looked tempting, but it was overly salty for my taste, and its texture was a bit too soft for me. Overall, a delightful meal!
The women at the service window were incredibly polite and friendly. They were quick, pleasant, and professional. I ordered the fish tacos, and everything was fresh and spot on! Absolutely delicious! I took my whole family here for this fantastic meal. I highly recommend this place—100%! It was a great experience, and I can't wait to come back tomorrow.
We absolutely love this place! I brought a friend with me today, and she really enjoyed it! She ordered a hot dog while I tried the Thai chicken sluice, and it was delicious!
5 for the service!!!! My husband and I were out fishing in the bay and dragged in late to lunch. We try to support local business and went to downtown Port St. Joe to find something quick to eat so we could head back to fishing. We walked up to Dagwood and after seeing the chalkboard menu outside the building we decided it was a good place to eat but it had just closed, it was just a few minutes after 3pm. As we were walking away from the door, the owner JR arrived to the restaurant and he informed us that he could make us something to go if we were willing to wait. Being hungry, we opted to do that. Within minutes, the owner brought our to go orders, Shrimp tacos (3) Cuban sandwich combo with drinks. When I pulled my credit card to pay since I had no cash, JR told me lunch was on him. That's one reason why local business will be better than the chain restaurants! Another reason, the shrimp tacos was finger licking good. I have a thing for tacos and this was one of the best I've had. It was on toasted tortilla bread, grilled blacken shrimp, coleslaw, pico de gallo remoulade sauce (spicy). My husband had the Cuban that came with chips french onion dip. He said it was good but after eating a Cuban sandwich from a Cuban, there's no comparison. Overall we had an excellent lunch experience. We will definitely go back. This will be on our list of go to places. Highly recommend this ladie for lunch (11-3).
