Port Rexton Brewery Tap Room

Our time there was a perfect way to spend the afternoon. We ordered our tasty beers at the counter alongside delicious grilled cheese sandwiches (I had mine with prosciutto from the nearby Oh My Cheeses food truck). We settled comfortably in their cozy living room by the fire, enjoying the cool, cloudy day. Wanting to linger a bit longer, we decided to order another round! The service was friendly and welcoming, just as we had experienced throughout our trip in Newfoundland. The WiFi was strong, and among the reading materials was a local coffee table book about a Toronto couple who left city life over 25 years ago to start a B&B. They’re still operating it, and the book is titled: Taking a Chance. We can definitely understand their decision.

This is a fantastic spot to grab a beer and some food after a nearby hike. The cozy fireplace and flickering candles create a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and meeting fellow travelers. There’s also a great selection of games to enjoy along with your drinks. The Oh My Cheeses food truck serves up a range of grilled cheese sandwiches and fries, while Port Rexton Brewery offers a nice selection of beers, from light to heavy, and sour to IPAs. I had the Saltwater Porter and Horsechops IPA, both of which were very enjoyable and easy to drink. Plus, they offer some of the most reasonably priced cans for takeaway.

The beer is fantastic, and the grilled cheese and fries from Dale and Melinda at the Oh My Cheeses food truck are out of this world!

Fantastic beer and food! Great service and ambience. If you're gluten free, check this place out. Lots of GF beer and food options. Plus everyone is so nice.

Great Beer! Hours: noon to 10pm!!! This is the best beer we had in Newfoundland. It is well worth the trip. We came here 4 times while staying in Elliston. The brewery has a great ambience and a good food truck, Oh My Cheeses, serving grilled cheese sandwiches. The sandwiches were YUMMY although I didn't care for their curry fries which were tasteless.
