We drive form Toronto for the Afternoon tea which consists of a sandwich of your choice, your choice of scones and butter tarts, plus coffee or tea. We recently went to a bakery in the area that had won many awards for their butter tarts and found that the ones at The Pantry Shelf were much better. We have travelled all over Ontario for afternoon tea and love the scones from here the best. Getting a seat is sometimes a challenge as the place is always busy around the lunch hour. A great place for a brunch any day of the week.
I visited the place from a ground. the staff is very friendly and that is as if they did it themselves, so I am not sure what was the question of checking the eggs. everything is fresh and no, I'm not related to anyone in the load, I keep my guests here regularly. the trio is a cup suppe, half sandwich and salat. love it! the only thing I wish she would add would be honey to her menu, so I can replace sugar in my coffee, but I even have only a few shops down and brought it back to enjoy the pantry regal. keep doing a great job!
I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and it certainly won't be my last! The menu is fantastic, and I tried the Lunch Special which included a delicious French Portiere Pie salad with apple chutney. The coffee was also very good. The meal was so enjoyable that I ended up purchasing a whole pie to take home. I will definitely be coming back to try their breakfast menu as well.
After lunch with my friend, I stopped a coffee and a whisper. we ordered an americano and a latte. well, I have my americano, but my friend did not get her latte because they ran out for their coffee machine! she wanted to drink a regular coffee instead. to the happiness there is really good coffee and she gave her refills free. the apple fritter was right at the point. it was a busy day in port perry, so I can see how they might not have planned for the demand. the prices were reasonable and service-friendly.
