Stonewood Grill Tavern - Port Orange

My family has celebrated many important occasions at Stonewood, and we always have a great experience. We enjoy the food, the service, and the atmosphere. We've celebrated birthdays, college graduations, family reunions, anniversaries, and even those nights when we just don’t feel like cooking. My mom adores the filet, while my daughter can't get enough of the lamb chops, and my grandson is a fan of the hamburger and fries. Plus, they have an amazing smoked fish appetizer that we all love. We truly cherish this restaurant!

I had a fantastic evening! The herb-crusted grouper was absolutely amazing! My friend ordered the filet, and it was cooked perfectly to medium rare, just as he requested. I really enjoyed the atmosphere—it's classy yet relaxed. I can't wait to return!

This restaurant offers an incredible experience in every aspect! The food is outstanding, and the service is unparalleled. Gloria is exceptional and truly goes above and beyond to ensure a great visit. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try—you won't regret it!

We began with two appetizers: a special Brie dish and the house blue cheese chips, both of which were delicious. Along with those, we enjoyed an assortment of pretzel, ciabatta, and French breads that she brought us. For our main courses, we ordered a tuna steak with Asian slaw, a steak salad, the Spear 'it special, and herb-crusted grouper. All the dishes were very good, cooked to the right temperatures and accompanied by the correct sides, except for the grouper. However, our server quickly resolved that issue. This is a small chain restaurant with a diverse menu offering seafood, salads, steaks, chicken, shrimp, and desserts. While we don't usually go to chain restaurants, this turned out to be an excellent dining experience.

I've only visited during happy hour, but they offer it every day of the week, which is great. Many places only have happy hour from Monday to Friday, and some in the area limit it to Monday through Thursday, so happy hour available until 7 p.m. every day is a refreshing change. I ordered the Stone Bits appetizer, which the menu described as garlic-marinated filet mignon, flash-seared, and served with house horseradish dressing. My server mentioned that the kitchen usually prepares it medium, but they were willing to make mine medium-rare upon request. It came with cornichons and slices of toasted baguette, and I found it quite delicious—a decent portion for one person. The horseradish sauce had a bit too much mayonnaise and not enough horseradish for my liking, but my server happily brought me some straight horseradish when I asked. Paired with a Pepperwood Grove Pinot Noir from Chile, I was ready for the evening without breaking the bank. The bar service was attentive, the atmosphere was enjoyable, the food was tasty, and the prices were reasonable. I’ll likely return.
