The atmosphere is fine and the food is just okay. The prices, however, are much too high for what you get.

I'm a visitor from Oklahoma. Came to Daytona, FL to see and congratulate a good friend. Took me out to this Cafe and had a wonderful experience. The service was really friendly and the drinks from the bar wasn't bad. Watching the planes taking off and landing was a great scenery.

I just learned that Downwind Cafe has permanently closed. It's truly disappointing, as I always had a great experience there and enjoyed many meals. The staff was consistently friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was delightful. I wish all the best for the owners and staff in their future endeavors.

The outdoor setting is perfect for enjoying delicious food while watching planes take off and land. The service is excellent as well.
