Pat Raj Roti Shop on Tragarette Street is my go-to spot for roti in Port of Spain. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the roti is delicious. However, there's a little catch: I always forget to ask the woman what she puts in her dhalpuri when I request no pepper. As a result, it tends to turn out a bit spicier than I expected!

The food is reasonably good, but it appears that they have reduced the amount of meat in each serving, as their prices haven't noticeably increased.

The food is decent...some days better than others. Don't like when the servers touch my roti with there bare hands. Why can't they wear plastic gloves and not touch other surfaces before touching my roti?? Why do they keep the roti under the counter. Why not keep it out in the open where people can see what's going on? The place has a dark dungeon like feel. Add more lights and brighter colors please. Finally, as beautiful as the cashier is, why does she feel the need to match that with equal levels of unfriendlyness??? She does not respond to hellos nor good afternoons. No smile. She just there to take your money and move you along. As the face of the business, she needs to do better.
