Contribuiți la feedbackHenry's is a gem in an area where really good restaurant choices are slim. It is run by a couple, Jasmin runs the front end and Henry is in the kitchen. He is classically trained, has great skill plus a lot of quality experience and it shows with each and every dish. Everything is done from scratch and made with great finesse. My wife and I have tried most of the menu and it is consistently a great experience. One thing this is by reservation only.
Overall a very pleasant experience at Henry’s kitchen. Waited a while for the food, but it was fine considering everything was hand-made by chef Henry. The service was good and the lady was helpful in giving us suggestions of what to order. Their beef and pasta are great. I would come back again to try their other pasta and the goat cheese.
Having only tried the French food from the restaraunt, I think it is as good as many much more expensive options in the greater Vancouver area. Duck Confit was matched with great tasting assortment of vegetables and liver pate. Beef bourguignon was similarly as good. Finished off with a cheesecake with brandied blueberries, a good light dessert. Service is on the slow side but that is because they have a small staff and prepare everything to order. You must reserve your seating.
It was amazing we could find and eat such delicious pasta in Port Moody. This hidden French and Italian pasta restaurant located on St. John's Street has street parking. <br/ <br/ We walked into the restaurant without any customers. A server seated us right away. Her service was great knowing that it was our first time to eat here and letting us know what was special and what we should try. We ordered mussels with white wine, tomatoes and herbs as appetizers and our main dishes were Penne Alfredo and Linguine Pescatora. Penne Alfredo was just a simple dish of penne with white creamy sauce and Parmesan cheese, but OMG! It was extraordinarily delicious! Chef Henry could cook this simple dish so well that I could 100% guarantee it is hard to find such a good simple dish in Greater Vancouver. Linguine Pescatora was full of seafood (shrimps, mussels, clams, scallops, and calamari in a light spicy tomato sauce. The seafood was fresh (not frozen ones and the texture of linguine was firm and chewy. Everything was irresistible. <br/ <br/ We would love to visit this restaurant and try other dishes in the near future. It was worth a trip to come all the way to Port Moody and eat the pasta here. (This pasta restaurant was originally located in Vancouver West. .
Henry’s Kitchen is a humble French Italian restaurant located in the heart of Port Moody. I came here for a nice evening out with my boyfriend and his family and we absolutely loved our experience here.
