Texas Traditions Grill - Port Lavaca

We were craving some authentic country cooking, and this restaurant truly delivered. It was so fantastic that we returned the very next night! All the dishes we tried were excellent, fairly priced, and the service was top-notch. The portions were generous, the menu offered a diverse selection, and the homemade sauces were a nice touch. We particularly enjoyed the ribeye beef tips over rice, which was the special for the day. On Friday nights, they also have karaoke. The place features a Texas-themed decor and a cozy country atmosphere, complete with large wooden tables and chairs. I highly recommend it!

I was eager to try this restaurant based on the reviews, but I ended up feeling disappointed. I'm not sure if there are new owners or a new manager, but the food was below expectations. The fried items had too much breading, and they didn’t seem fresh—more like they were frozen. I'm really hesitant to give it another chance.

The food was excellent! The staff were very polite! We enjoyed margaritas, steak, baked potato, and a house salad, while the kids had chicken tenders with mac and cheese. Although the crème brûlée cheesecake didn't impress us, it wasn't a dealbreaker. We would certainly visit again!

I had not been there in a long time. I went with a few coworkers. We ordered the chicken and dumplings. It tasted like the chicken was spoiled. Ordered the other soup. It was like a hamburger soup. That was good. Not a great experience going back.

On a cool evening, we were warmly welcomed at this charming restaurant, filled with country music, sturdy tables, and friendly staff. For our appetizer, we tried the jalapeño poppers, which were both delightful and tasty. For dinner, we enjoyed a southwestern Cobb salad topped with salmon and a black bean sauce. The food was fresh and expertly prepared. Unfortunately, we didn't have any room for dessert, but I noticed they had a nice selection, including cheesecake. I will definitely return on my next visit to Port Lavaca.
