Contribuiți la feedbackFood: I got food poisoning from my avocado egg toast. Tummy started gurgling about an hour after the meal. It's now been more than 48 hours, sigh, and I'm still plagued. Service: Employees do the bare minimum. Adequate but nothing to be positively impressed by. Atmosphere: Noisy. When I was there, on Monday around 11am, there was a guy w/ his laptop, openly yakking on his phone at great length. The staff dragged the screechingly noisy metal chairs across the floor rather than lift them up. Also, the cutlery is all plastic, and it was quite difficult to cut my poisoned toast. (Plus, not environmentally friendly!
I think that this place is a very aesthetic place. The food was a little over priced and you could tell you’re paying for the vibe and not quality food. The lady at the front was very nice It just seems very gentrified. I would recommend going here to study and grab a drink but food is over priced.
My husband and I were in Port Jeff for a day trip. Before arriving, I did searches for where we could have breakfast so we were looking for the cafe based on the positive reviews I had seen online. We were not disappointed. The egg avocado toast I had and my husband’s egg sandwich were both amazing. Sorry, no egg sandwich photo; it had been devoured very quickly. Not only was the food fresh, flavorful and very delicious, it sustained us both for the entire afternoon. The day was brutally hot, and we ended up taking the train back to NYC earlier than planned but we’ll definitely return to Port Jeff when it’s cooler, and we already know where we’ll eat. This cafe offers a variety of options for both breakfast and lunch as well as great coffee and chilled beverages, and great looking deserts. Based on how empty the display was at 11am, those deserts are as tasty as they look. It’s a clean and cozy spot with a laid back atmosphere. A 5 star review from us!
You can learn a great deal about someone, especially a restaurateur, by the ketchups, condiments, and oils they choose. Owner Jitendra scored exceptionally high on my scale for high-quality, health-conscious food in numerous ways. For starters, his salmon pita is so exceptional that my husband insisted we stop in on our way to the hotel. Despite the kitchen nearing closing time and it being a relatively quiet night, Jitendra graciously agreed to prepare the salmon pita for us. It was beyond delightful—truly unforgettable. The dish was served with a homemade wasabi-aioli that dripped over the lettuce and tomato on the sturdy, delicious pita. Absolutely fantastic. I eyed the ketchup bottles for our side of French fries, which we ordered in addition to the included coleslaw—a generously portioned, delicious slaw without mayo. Remarkably, the ketchup was Trader Joe's organic, with NO HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP. Amazing. This choice alone speaks volumes about the quality of food at this place. I forgot to ask Jitendra what kind of oil he uses in the fryer—hoping it’s not canola. I’ll update once I find out. However, I suspect he uses a better oil, given the rest of the offerings. Our cashier, Caroline, was lovely and helpful. This will definitely be our go-to spot in Port Jefferson.
Good atmosphere, good coffee, and good food! I highly recommend any breakfast sandwich or the turkey burger for lunch! This is a great spot to stop in for a drink and quick bite to eat or a nice study space. If you need to buckle down and get work done, sitting in front of the windows makes you feel happier.
