Harbourlite Restaurant - Port Elgin

The food portions at this restaurant are very generous. The Fish and Chips dish was absolutely delicious. The prices are great and the location is convenient. The staff is attentive and provides excellent hospitality. Overall, I would rate the food as 5 out of 5.

I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 30 years. My usual order is a footlong hotdog and fries, followed by an ice cream a few days later. I was saddened when I thought they had closed, but I recently discovered they have reopened this year. I am thrilled to be back on holiday and look forward to enjoying my ritual once again. I adore the location and the charming vintage style of the restaurant. If you are looking for a high-end dining experience, this may not be the place for you. I truly hope they never close down, as they are a beloved landmark and no new developments could ever capture the charm of this establishment. In my opinion, the hotdogs and fries are even better than the restaurant at the other end of the beach.

My family used to love this ice cream spot. We would come here every summer since I was a child. It used to be a great place to enjoy a quality ice cream cone while watching the boats. However, we were extremely disappointed this summer. The 'regular' two scoop cone now consists of two very small scoops that are significantly smaller than a normal scoop, and it costs over $4. If you have the option, I recommend driving over to Southampton instead and checking out Fun in the Sun ice cream parlour, where you can get two full scoops for only $3.99.

Ain’t nothing like it. Support this landmark by just getting an ice cream and some fries with your tourist dollars. Then watch the sunset. It’s a classic. Place hasn’t changed much over the decades. A gem. Love that they’re selling historical postcards.Food: 5/5
