Lago Trattoria - Port Dover

The food here was fresh, hot and very tasty. A first time try we shared the smelts - they were done perfectly! The chicken piccatta was also delicious and the helpings sizeable. A wonderful Reston that we would consider going back and we are in Toronto!

Stopping by for a bite to eat, I was pleasantly surprised to see such a great menu. The chefs cook right where you can see them, everything is super-fresh and delicious. Portion size is very generous too. The staff could not have been nicer. A dont-miss in Port Dover, for sure!

This restaurant had a lovely ambiance on the inside and also offered a patio section . Once seated at our table the service was great right away . Amanda was very informative on the menu and told us about the daily produce that the establishment was serving which all seem to be locally available . The kitchen is open so you could see what goes on on the grill . The Chicken dish was amazing and the fettutini with grilled chicken was also delicious . For desert the mix berries ice cream was a perfect end to our meal . In all our experience at Lago Trattoria was extremely pleasant and we will go back again .

We chose Lago for a Sunday gathering of friends during our stay in Port Dover. The food looked lovely but lacked flavour. The decor and service were great.

We went to Lago in Port Dover for our 4th or 5th visit there. And everything was amazing, as usual. The ambiance of the restaurant is fresh and inviting, the food is creative and perfectly presented, the staff is extremely helpful in choosing our dishes. Special shout out to Amanda for being on top of our orders, helping us choose wine and making suggestions for our meals. Love her!!! One of the reasons we go to Lago is because of the welcoming and witty staff. I mean the food is incredible, but its really the little things. Even the music was perfect. Thanks again Lago. We will definitely be back.
