Jade Inn Chinese Restaurant

Had dinner here and ordered the duck which was nice, the prawn scallop and broccoli dish which was a disappointment and a special rice which was bland even for rice, the prices on the menu don't reflex what you get on your plate better places to eat in port douglas for less money

Delicious Chinese dishes, friendly staff and a warm welcome. The food is fresh, plentiful and beautifully presented. This restaurant is reasonable in price and is fully licensed. Highly recommended.

Given the size of the town and the other choices available, this is a restaurant worth trying. In the larger spectrum of Chinese restaurants one may encounter, it is more in the middle of the pack.Very centrally located on the main strip of PD; you really can't miss it.Service was fine. Overall decor is ok.We had:- won-ton soup (traditional, can't-go-wrong Cantonese choice) and it was fine.- shrimp in garlic sauce: shrimp were not overcooked; overall good but could have been a tad more flavorful.- Singaporean noodles; Good Singaporean noodles can lift your spirits; Those were ok but not beyond that.Cost: middle of the road for PD; I would go again if I were to visit Port Douglas another time.

This place was quite busy on the evening we visited, producing lots of takeaway orders as well as serving a full dining room. Friendly service, generous serves and the usual Chinese-style dishes, favoured by Aussies. We were pretty hungry and particularly enjoyed our soup entrees - my sour and spicy soup delivered plenty of both!

Port Douglas is busy this time of year, maybe it's always busy! The jade inn was busy service fast and food was good. Probably the only Chinese restaurant in port Douglas and managed to incorporate seafood into the menu which was good. Wine choices not great, maybe byo ?
