The workers and cook smoke inside the restaurant while cooking. They also smoke outside with GLOVES ON and doors open. I specialize in food safety so this is not acceptable. The quality of food is low compared to other Austin franchises. I will try again once they get things sorted out. If they last.

When this was Johns Chicken I raved how awesome the food was. I loved it, I posted all the time about how good it was. Then they shutdown. Rebranded and came back as Johns Austin Chicken and the food has been terrible ever since. I wonder if it is new owners. Don’t eat here it’s as simple as that. I drive twice the distance to the Pitt Meadows Austin Fish or the Coquitlam one on Austin. This location is giving the Brans Austin Fish and chips a bad name and I’m tempted to email the owners of the franchise to that effect. Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows is great fish and chips. This location the chicken and the fish is just terrible. One fish was under cooked. Feel sick. The other one was old and rubbery. The fries old and terrible. The second photo with the foot I spat out in the napkin that’s how much fries I didn’t eat becuase I couldn’t. Feel ripped of and wasted a lot of money.

Prices are too high and my poutine did not taste good it tasted like fries and weird gravy no cheese added. My sister liked her chicken sandwich though.

Ate in and a $40 meal was served on paper plates and the cheapest plastic cutlery I've ever seen. The fork would just bend when trying to penetrate the fish. Tasteless batter. Worst meal I've ever had in PoCo. Horrible!
