Contribuiți la feedbackYupa and Garth, the owners of All Thai`d Up are fantastic hosts. Always quick to serve hot and tasty food that is fresh made from scratch. The Chrisada Long Song is to die for with Yupa`s peanut sauce. Pad Thai, Red Curry Gaeng Dang, Tom Yum Gai, Cashew Chicken are also some of our favorites. Try this little hidden gem out for some of the best Thai food in the Tricities!
My sister and I went here for dinner after a long day of driving in which the only food we ate was jerky and apples. We got the Spring Rolls, Not so Satay, Cashew Chicken, Gaeng Sapparod, and a side of rice.We had been expecting spring rolls wrapped in rice paper, so were a bit disappointed to find they were deep friend instead. But they had a very tasty filling and a delicious dipping sauce, so our disappointment was soothed a way with yummy flavors. The Not so Satay is a slight reimagining of traditional satay where the chicken is cooked in coconut milk and served with the peanut sauce and a little salad on the side (no skewers.) It was delicious and our favorite thing we ordered. The Cashew Chicken was another slight disappointment. Once again, it was still quite tasty, but it reminded me much more of a Chinese dish than a Thai one. I will have to continue my quest for a good Cashew Chicken place outside of Thailand.I don’t normally like Gaeng Sapparod, but here I declared it tasty and would have eaten more if my sister hadn’t defended her dish. The interior of the restaurant is a bit dim looking, but I enjoyed both the red lanterns and the quotes decorating the wall. The waiter was a nice guy, helpfully explaining the satay dish and giving us the option to start with one order of rice and order more if needed (I think we looked really confused when he asked if we wanted rice, since in our experience rice just comes with things, so we appreciated him giving us the option.)
This tucked away little gem is worth the try. Service was excellent. Everything here is made from scratch including the different sauces. Nothing comes out of s bottle here. Everyone in our family loved their meal
This was my first time having Thai cuisine and I loved it! The owner was very knowledgable about the menu, and explained the health benefits of certain herbs, spices and food that they use. The walls inside the restaurant are also covered with photos and quotes, which I thought was a good touch!
We arrived at 6 on a Thursday night from recommendations from friends. The 'not so satay" was wonderful, no fried food here, definitely a unique dish to try.Unfortunately a new cook was being trained and we were told it would be slow, but were not told it would be 1-1/2 hours before our food arrived. After that long wait, we ate too fast and didn't overly enjoy the experience. The food, was very aromatic and we took the balance home. It was very good reheated. I wished we had just ordered take out and will do so next time. We noted that take out customers who had phoned in did not seem to have that long of a wait. When we go back, our review rating will mostly likely go up, however, due to the extra long wait (wish the owner had said, sorry overbooked, please come back) it would have been better if the owner was a bit more accurate.
