Perkins Bakery - Port Charlotte

We had breakfast here over the weekend and let me start by saying, the service and food were great. Unfortunately the smell coming from the VERY old carpet ruined it. The server had let us know they just had the carpets cleaned too! I would highly recommend putting in different flooring, and not carpet.

The food was good-however the wait for the meals to be served was ridiculously long. An hour for our breakfast to be served and the waitress was just avoiding eye contact and not offering refills on coffees and juices,nor explaining what the long wait was about. The restaurant wasn't overflowing with patrons. Couldn't understand why it took so long. For that reason I doubt I'd go back for a sit down meal. I would however buy food from the bakery.
