Everywhere else I went, they were made with elk instead. I can definitely say the moose burger was delicious and lean; I’m eager to try it again, though I’m curious how its flavor might vary next time. Our server was very knowledgeable and explained that each restaurant must obtain its own license to procure moose during the autumn hunting season. She has her own license, and I wish her luck for a successful hunt this September. My partner said the seafood linguine was excellent, with all the seafood sourced locally—it actually tasted even better as leftovers! The restaurant is conveniently located across from an Ocean Choice International (OCI) plant, known for processing cold-water shrimp. This area has a strong fishing community here in Port au Choix.
This place is fantastic! We only had the blackened cod and halibut, served with a cracker and some fresh oysters. Everything was excellent, including the service. It's definitely worth the extra miles off the Viking Trail to enjoy a meal here.
