Swept Away Inn - Port Alberni

Terrible customer service. The day we were supposed to go there the highway was closed due to debris needing to be cleared. Understandable. I called them to inform them that the hwy was closed and we woule be up the next morning as we had booked 2 nights and was hoping to be able to stay at least 1 night. They said no problem see you tomorrow knowing full well that the hwy was going to be closed again. So when we went to leave the next morning we find out the hwy was closed again for most of the day which apparently according to them had been going on most of the summer. I called them back and asked them why they didn 't say anything about the hwy being closed and they said oh we figured you knew about it, everyone knows about it . Which I responded how would I know about it when I am from another province. They refused to issue a refund or even a partial refund. Shady to say the least. And from what I have seen I am not the only one that this happened to. This experience tells me they obviously don 't care about the customer.....just the money.

We had an amazing evening and night on board swept away inn . I would recommend it to any one. very friendly hosts

What an amazing stay! The tug boat is so cute and well taken care of. Daniel and Bouchra are so very friendly and easy to talk to. The food was some of the best that we have ever had. We will definitely be back!

Amazing hosts, cute/quaint rooms (you are staying on a beautiful old tug boat! and the food ........ a must place to stay and enjoy our amazing Province!
