Solda's Restaurant - Port Alberni

Thank you for an amazing dinner that we had tonight, at Soldas Restaurant. We were very appreciative of how much care went into making sure that our dining experience was a safe and clean one,. We had the whole side of the restaurant to ourselves, with lots of room for social distancing. The restaurant was abiding by the rules and regulations and worked so hard and the food was wonderful. I personally recommend the Maple Wild Salmon with beets, carrots and green beans. Thank you to the cook and kitchen staff. Our waitress Bettina was very professional, wore her mask and went way beyond, to make our Uncle's 84th Birthday a success. The surprise cheesecake with sparkler candles were a wonderful way to end the evening. Thank you everyone at Soldas. You are the best and we will be back.

We went there for Valentines day dinner and were quite disappointed. We reserved ahead. One of the specials was prime rib and my wife loves prime rib. We got there just before 6 o’clock and were seated shortly after which we were OK with. When the waitress came to take order my wife asked for prime rib and she said sorry we’re out of prime rib. We thought wow this early in the evening and you’re out of your special. Oh well she ordered a steak medium well so we waited and waited and waited and finally the state came in it was seared on both sides and losing of blood from the center. It was about 1 inch thick or so. So she sent it back to have a cup a little more. Waited a few more minutes again and waitress came out with a steak it was a different steak really thin steak not the same one that she had before. It was grizzly and a terrible steak. And my meal was much better either. In our area where we sat down we were one of the first in that area to be seated in the last to leave. We’re not people that sit around and talk after a meal. That tells you about the restaurant.

The y have seiners portions at a great price. my favorite is their cod fillet with veggies, mashed potatoes and gravy with a hot bun.

Good old fashioned Italian pizza. Crust is very different from all others,. They will customize your pizza for you. Stick to the pizza!

Had the smorgasbord with some friends. The food was amazing homemade quality I'd say the best place to eat in port alberni ever. Would highly recommend this place
