Contribuiți la feedbackBest broiled seafood platter I have ever consumed! It was well worth its price. A large and tasty portion of flounder, scallops, shrimp and crab cake all seasoned and cooked perfectly. The onion rings were also the best ever!
In the colonial Williamsburg area for the week, Jason from North Carolina had an amazing seafood dinner at the restaurant. He enjoyed a fried flounder and shrimp platter with fresh cut fries and a side salad topped with blue cheese crumbles and bacon. The food was described as divine. The server, Destiny, was fantastic - providing lots of help and having a great personality. Jason highly recommends everyone to have a meal at this restaurant at least once in their lifetime.
I drive a school Bus for Poquoson, and stopped for lunch. It was my first time eating at Capt Herrells, but definitely won't be my last. The service was great and the atmosphere was very nice, clean and quiet. The fresh caught flounder sandwich and fresh cut fries were fantastic ? my compliments.
I went in here, because people said it was good. I love me some good seafood. The place looked clean. It was dinner time and it was getting semi busy. They sat us down, and we waited for a waitress. It felt like 15 min before she could get our drink order, and by that time we were ready to order. We placed our orders when she took our drink orders. I brought my two kids and my husband. My kids got chicken tenders, fries, and Mac and Cheese. For me I ordered oysters and shrimp. My husband ordered just shrimp. We waited almost an hour for our food, which to me is unacceptable. I understand restaurants are struggling...but all I ask is communication. I can understand why my baby started throwing a tantrum. He had been waiting awhile, and he was hungry. Every time we asked our waitress what was going on she said she would check...and three times she said it will be right up. I was not ok with this. Then we actually received the food. After waiting at least the food was hot, but I was disappointed in the food. It was terrible. The Mac and cheese was flavorless, the batter on the shrimp was terrible and was extremely greasy, the fries were also super greasy...my kids thought the chicken tenders were good, but looking at previous food pics..mour tenders did not look like how they were supposed to look. Ours were just bleh, but my kids were hungry so they ate it. However, I did enjoy the oysters. I know this business must have had a bad day...and they have potential to improve, but everything that happened put me off. I'll eventually come back, but not anytime soon, and hopefully things will be better.
Food and service was great. My crab cake was well broiled and the fries were great. We visited during off peak hours, and our experience felt intimate and special. Thanks for a tasty quick meal as we wrapped up our visit!
