Zum Stern - Poppenhausen

We went to this restaurant with high expectations because it is such a long-standing traditional guest house. Unfortunately, these expectations were not met. The service was nice and friendly and you sat very cozy. However, the restaurant was at the time of our visit looking for a chef. I'm sorry. The salmon trout steak ordered was not a steak, but fillet, still with many greases in it. The potatoes were not sufficiently salted and, unfortunately, somewhat tasteless. I had to desalinate. The worst was seasonal vegetables. 1. Was it carrots, red beds and zucchini, which is not seasonal. 2. Was it cooked together and unfortunately too long. It was so soft that it could be crushed with the fork. 3. Everything had the same pinkish-red coloring (from the red beds) and tasted only after a tube, so that the different vegetables were not really different. 4. Was no spice, sauce or taste. Personally, I would never have come up with the idea of cooking vegetables like this and then asking for money. I had to order crushed butter because there was absolutely no sauce. With butter and salt, the fish and the potatoes were saved. I left the vegetables. This was a very disappointing evening that unfortunately the great scenery and cozy atmosphere could not save.

We were on mission. I looked at Google Maps for hotel. I called there. The boss said today is rest day. We got the room. The room is very nice. The boss told us by email how to get the key. Breakfast was very delicious. We come back.Parking: Super perfect

We are here for the first time on holiday and feel very comfortable from the beginning. The rooms are very clean and spacious.The breakfast is lovingly decorated and there is something for every taste. Besides, you can go to eat here excellently. A very nice menu invites you to slums. The staff and the owners are very friendly and cordial through the row away.All in all a very nice place to relax and enjoy.

Servus a brief feedback for the Landgasthof to the star.On the occasion of my birthday, I was here with 8 people. It's best to be preserved, just on weekends. Arrived in Poppenhausen we were warmly welcomed and a table was set up in a kind of vaulted cellar, which is very beautifully made.The orders were quickly received and the service was very nice.Now one of the highlights of this evening, every second Sunday a month Pat-Trickster is here for table magic. The in-house magic artist enthuses people there while waiting for their food with free magic tricks real hammer! Thanks again for the nice evening! After dinner, we have waited some time, which was perfectly bridged, but the food was delicious and can be recommended for those who want to eat in Poppenhausen and surroundings once well bourgeois.We would definitely come back.As a conclusion there was a round of drinks on the house for us, this is no longer self-comprehensible and we felt very comfortable and careless next July.

Rarely experienced as unfriendly as here. Is a no-go in the gastro!It was just about several phone calls because of a reservation. We were given several times the feeling that we are disturbing, as a guest are not wanted or to call the wrong times, in their opinion. Never again!
