Moonlight Indian Cuisine - Poole

Went here with some friends on a Friday night in July. The place was full with people waiting for tables. I have not seen an Indian like this for ages The food was good being critical it could have been hotter in heat. But other than this it was very good and still full when we left.

This is an absolute gem of a restaurant. The dishes are flavoursome, freshly prepared and they can easily cater for Gluten Free diners. The staff are wonderful too! Thank you for your wonderful food and hospitality.

10 different variations on orders everything arrived spot on attentive professional waiter's and service nothing but praise restaurant fully booked and staffed to cope.

We passed by this restaurant on a cold Sunday evening, very hungry and looking to eat. Was actually aiming for the Thai place next door but when we went past it looked really cosy and welcoming so we chose there instead. We were seated straight away in a choice of cosy booths. We ordered lamb Ceylon, king prawn dansak, sag paneer, Peshawar naan and pilau rice. Each dish was served at the perfect temperature, the flavours were on point and the portions were good although the rice portion is for one not sharing. The service was an outstanding feature. There was a large table next to us who were well looked after as well as all the other tables. Myself and my partner were very happy with our meal the service and 100% recommend. There were also some regular customers who seemed to know the establishment well. 10/10 food, 10/10 service, 10/10 atmosphere.

We booked an early Friday evening dinner at Moonlight for three of us. We mixed up the menu a bit by ordering starters, sides and mains, all of which we wanted at the same time as the main meal. The guys did this with no problems. Chicken pathia, chicken madras we’re both tasty although not too spicy. Portions were decent but not huge. The usual accompaniments, pilau rice, keema Nan and mushroom Bhaji were also nice and tasty. Overall a nice meal, but could have been a bit spicier.
