San Jose Mexican And Grill - Pontiac

Absolutely fantastic Mexican cuisine! My husband and I visited this restaurant on a Friday night, and since it wasn't overly crowded, I decided to write a review to encourage others to check it out. Each of our entrees was incredibly tasty, and they even prepared birria tacos for my husband, even though they weren't on the menu. My chicken chimichanga was exceptionally delicious. Everything was served hot and fresh. We also ordered some lengua tacos, which we adore and typically get at their other location. We've never encountered a credit card surcharge here either.

This was my first time here. I really enjoyed my dinner . I don't remember the name of the dish but it was a thin tasty steak that you can cut up and put in tortillas and two chicken enchiladas with rice and beans and some guacamole that was also very good. You get chips and salsa to start. The salsa was a little thin I prefer something a little thicker but it was very tasty had a sweet flavor. They have a pretty large menu with Sea food options. A lot to choose from. I had a difficult time trying to decide. My waitress was very nice, she helped me out with my choice and I was very happy with my dinner. It has a large bar area and dinning area as well. I would say it is very traditional Mexican food. I liked the atmosphere. Looked like there was a set up for live entertainment also. Lot of Latinos in there. I knew I was in a good place. I will definitely be returning to try out some more of there great food.

The wife and my favorite Mexican restaurant. Hands down! Try anything and everything you will not be disappointed.

The food is good. I had had the Chicken Tamales. It was served with ranchero sauce, rice and refried beans. My husband ordered fish and shrimp ceviche. For me, plating is the last thing I concern myself with. But I must say it was a beautiful, vibrant dish and full of fresh foods. The only criticism I'd have would be the music which was like mexicano meets rap. Other people might like it but it would not be my 1st choice for dinner music. But the most important part, the actual food, was good. And the service was friendly.

Great restaurant! The food was excellent. My wife began with the Choriries, and I opted for the California Burrito while she had the Chicken Chimichanga. The portions were generous, the prices were reasonable, and the staff was friendly and attentive.
