Cafe Beira Rio - Ponte de Lima

My husband and I just returned home to Canada from a 10 day trip to Portugal. we visited Pointe De Lima a day before flying home and were pleasantly surprised by the simpilicity and beauty of the village and very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful pizza lunch we had at Cafe Beira Rio. Our server was a very friendly young man and the red wine, tuna pizza and simple tomato olive oil salad was perfect! later that night we returned to this restaurant to ask them to call us a cab to bring us back to our hotel which was approx a 30 minute drive away and since there were no cabs to be found on the street. The Chef/owner of the cafe was so gracious..he caĺled us a cab and refused to charge us for the cappacinos we had while waiting for the cab to show up. i would recommend this cafe to anyone looking for awesome food, service snd ambience. Chef, we also loved the boxer shorts and aprons..cool! Thanks again for your hospitality.we hope to return soon.

We arrived late on a Friday evening, this place had a real buzz we were lucky to get an outside table. The service was friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent.
