Açores Grill - Ponta Delgada

We were set on trying a very highly rated restaurant near this restaurant but we were turned away as we didn’t have reservations. A quick google search landed us here and we were both very happy it did!!!! Don’t be fooled by the look on the outside. Give that front door a good tug and you’ll be inside. Food was plentiful and very, very tasty. We over ordered on the meat size (if you do not have huge appetites, the small meat platter and a few sides are plenty and I mean plenty for two people . Service was great, and we walked away very happy we ended up here by circumstance : . If you happen to get turned away by that highly rated place, make your way here!

If we could eat here every day we’d die happy. It’s great fun cooking the meat yourself. First time we visited we ordered the chips/French fries but it is the beans that are the star of the show, best eaten with rice or bread. It’s a simple menu, very reasonably priced beer and wine are also cheap. We enjoyed the food here so much we came back and would happily do so again. Much nicer than all the smarter more expensive restaurants we visited

We had a delicious dinner at Azores Grill! We had the Tuna and Steak filet. The dipping sauce is amazing! We also had French fries (the best and most fresh I’ve had since coming) and a yummy salad! As a Pittsburgh native I was very pleased to see Heinz Ketchup! The service was fabulous and the staff was so nice and pleasant to be around!

It was amazing and cozy place to have dinner with, good meat and I could recommend their dessert tarte de casa(special home cake) one of the best cake in the island.

One off the best places I’ve eaten at. If you want something different this is the place.
