Guibert Fils - Pont-de-Salars

We visited the bar first; it was clean and tidy with 70’s furnishings. The beer was good but had the usual mousse problem; the head was almost equal in volume to the beer. The dining room is well appointed and comfortable with crisp white linen on the tables and sparkling glasses. We ordered the set Menu du Jour which is 17€60 and includes a ¼ of wine. The salad, a Salade de queues de crevettes avec lardons. It was fresh and well presented with a thin mayonnaise dressing and egg. The few prawns were the tiny, tasteless sort normally used in cheap curries. The lardons were smoked and tasty. The entrée, a Tarte Paysan quiche served with a small puddle of béchamel sauce. It was lukewarm; Jane would have preferred it hot. The main course was a warm escalope of reformed, breaded veal served with warm spaghetti in a tomato sauce a small lettuce leaf. It didn’t taste of much would have been better suited to a children’s menu. The house red wasn’t drinkable; it was at the end of its life so, probably okay to order during the summer season when it would be fresh. We ordered a half bottle of Marcillac which was fine but increased our bill by 11€. To finish, we were offered a choice of cheese or desert. We both chose a selection from the cheese board. The waiter was well informed keen to recommend local specialities. The Roquefort was perfect; the other cheeses were a bit dry. The service was professional and courteous. We had coffee in the bar which was delicious. Total bill, excluding our aperitifs and the tip was 48€80. We will try somewhere else the next time that we visit Pont de Salars.

Great. U is a large pleasant surface at fair prices. In addition, the light is softer than anywhere, making the atmosphere relaxing; music is less aggressive because lower: this large surface is well thought and the staff is pleasant and professional.

Arrival a few months ago in the department I visited the large and medium panels 50 kms around my house to find a supermarket. I chose this supermarket as much for the diversity of products, fresh rays (lights, cheeses, etc.... always well provided, its cleanliness and the friendliness of staff.

The new store. very clean grazing radius: many pastries made on site better than in artisanal pastries. A big bravo to the pastry team. I will only pass my orders to their houses now. the taste is there and the price also
