Contribuiți la feedbackWe eat here in our second night in mallorca and had a fabulous meal. it is a bit farther behind from the sea front, but has a beautiful courtyard where we sat. the free glass of the bubbly when we arrived was a very...nice touch and the staff was very friendly in all. my wife had the salmon paste and I had the pizza. Both tasted fresh and beautiful. we had bruschetta for the starter we shared, and the Pana-Citta for the desert. everything came to about 35 euro. excellent value and a small jewel in the opposite would definitely recommend
Absolutely amazing eating when they are hungry or greedy trying the dorna an excellent plate of tinted fish, tinted fish, muddling, razing clams and muddling.
Eat them here, and again another beautiful meal. If we know that the portions are generous and that we want to save space for the delicious puddings, we have not ordered a starter. our waiter however produced some free croquettes and they were absolutely delicious! the best, we had it so far. the whole meal was delicious, the service excellent and the price very reasonable given the excellent food. the resturant is not at the sea, but it has a beautiful outdoor terrace and more people should go there. they would not be disappointed!
The restaurant we visited in mallorca as a family on the first day was enthusiastic. very friendly and nothing was too difficult for the staff. my little grandson was spoiled by them! eating was nicely served in a large garden on the back. the spatialities. they will certainly give C’an moncho a visit they will not be disappointed.
Up until recently when you give a restaurant 5 stars, TA came up with a message asking if this is the best meal you have ever had. Whilst I would have said no', our evening at Ca'n Moncho would certainly appear in our top ten...best dining experiences.. The owner, Christian and his wife, have made a wonderful job in renovating and updating the old Cafe Llevant. The front section consists of a series of arched nooks which would look warm and cosy for out-of-season dining. The rear courtyard has had a real make-over – mature planting, fountain and subtle lighting. Together they have created a wonderful ambience. This is matched with both the friendly and professional service and of course the food. The cuisine is pure Spanish and heavily weighted to a Galician style of cuisine (including many of the wines and beers). The menu is small – just 10 starters, 10 mains (5 fish and 5 meat)and 4 desserts (all home made cakes). The mains are priced at between 14 and 20 euros. The house wine is very acceptable and at even more enjoyable at a very reasonable 12 euros a bottle. The starters are huge, so my tip is to do what the Spanish do and order one to share. We had two very different mains a very unusual cold monk fish and prawn dish and veal cheeks in red wine. Both were absolutely delicious and totally clean plates were returned. We took the advice given on posting#1 yes the carrot cake is wonderful. Although the restaurant has only been open a month, all of the 40 odd covers in the courtyard were full, adding to the friendly atmosphere of the evening. No doubt the star dish at Ca'n Moncho is the seafood platter. It comes in at a hefty 70 euros but it contains a huge pile of red prawns, mussels, razor clams, shellfish etc. which although designed for 2 people seemed to satisfy tables of 3 or 4 customers. Over half the people there had ordered this dish. Ca'n Moncho is closed every Wednesday – with evening service the rest of the week plus Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes. The owners intention is to remain open out of season. Overall a wonderful addition to fine dining in the port and one that has a focus on regional Spanish cuisine. Highly recommended.
