Trattoria Genzianella - Pollein

During two separate ski trips to the Aosta Valley with a group of friends we've eaten here five times. This is a bustling restaurant frequented by local people and very well run by smiling and personable staff. The menu offers a variety of foods from pizzas, meat dishes and some veggie options, all extremely well cooked and nicely presented. I should stress that it is very local and a little bit of Italian does help. Prices are very reasonable by anyone's standards and portions are filling. I highly recommend this place so, if in the area, book in advance to ensure a table

As a group of 13 we stayed in Pollein for three nights. We went to Genzianella on the first night and all enjoyed it so much we went back there again on the third night. Everybody in our group of 13 had high praise for their meals and I particularly enjoyed their pizzas. The only downside is that it does get very busy so I would recommend booking at weekends. Also, the service can be a little slow, however the quality of the food makes it worthwhile
