Schack's -b-que - Polk County

Cruising Cypress Gardens Blvd., you can go blind looking at all the eating places, trying to decide where to stop. This one is a casual BBQ (and other things) place to go to relax and fill up with good food. Others were there after spending time at Legoland nearby – our old legs wouldn’t hold out for all that, but Schack’s was convenient for us to stop in during an afternoon of running here and there. Parking was adequate, it did look like could get a bit crowded, but we hit it right. The service was fast and the food really good – relaxed atmosphere-and had that “smoky smell.” you knew you were where the “Q” was! I’m liking Q better these days…

I have got the deluxe plate and let me tell you it does not taste like it was cooked today, dry no flavor and gave me the bottom of the barrel of what that had plus a long blonde hair in the BBQ source that was given to meThe front cashier was very nice and welcoming but this is not a place for BBQ.

I try the ribs and the beef special they were dry and no flavor. On the salad bar green peas, potatoes salad were delicious and the yellow dressing. Ice was cold and the salt was salty.

Husband and I drove over to meet Son, DIL and grandbabies for dinner. They weren't to busy, but got seated quickly. Food was exceptional as usual. Server was great
