Infermento - POLIGNANO A MARE

Lovely restaurant tucked in the corner of a square in Polignano a Mare, we walked past without noticing for several days and only decided to go after seeing Tripadvisor reviews. I’m vegetarian and the waiter took time to explain everything in English on the menu that I could eat. All the food was tasty (particularly the orecchiette al forno and we had a lovely evening. (Don’t be put off with the empty tables, we arrived at 20:30 as the only people in the restaurant but by 22:00 there wasn’t an empty table! . We’d definitely visit again if in the area.

Alternative but pleasant kitchen if you want to try something different to dine by spizzicando of the gothic socks as vegetarian potato potato or potato cake and cod, beautiful sauce in a small square just outside the chaos of the center, good and friendly sevice and good also prices

A breath, being almost the only tourists in the middle of Italian. a very good sign that will confirm the whole evening in the plaque. service very pleasant and professional .plats of qualite strongly recommended

The server at the bar treated us with disdain upon entering, saying speak English, not Italian. Clearly, my Italian was not acceptable to him. We had a perfectly pleasant drink, I went to ask for the check, he ignored me, took two people in front of me, then did not respond when I asked if I had done something to make him unhappy with us. We left much more than the bill, but will not return. Neither should you.

Great original food from local origin, very friendly service and a rich choice of affordable yet excellent wines (and beer). All in a relaxed atmosphere, like having drinks and food at your own kitchen table with friends. We’ll be back
