Da Tuccino - POLIGNANO A MARE

Review on Da Tuccina restaurant in Poligano de Mare After being referred by several as “one of the best” in our area to dine, my friend and I scoped out the place on one of our runs and decided to make a reservation with our husbands. Absolutely the worst experience of our entire trip! Starting with being the first to be seated/last to be served, completely inattentive wait staff, just average food, and being price gouged through deceptive communication with us (470 euro for four people! . The menu quoted a price for lobster, and when the bill came was 5x what was quoted. When we questioned, we were told the price was per gram although, having eaten our share of lobster in the States, it was certainly no more than 1/2lb. Three of us asked for fish, which on the menu ranged from 18 22euro. We were charged 150 euro for 3 (2 red snapper, 1 sea bass . The two red snapper were completely inedible due to several bones in each bite. The fish was served on a plate with nothing on the plate….seriously! Not even a garnish! It was a very unpleasant experience, to say the least. And to top it off, the two that had the red snapper were sick from the time we got back to our hotel, for a full 24 hours. Would NOT recommend this place!!!

Awful. Overpriced. Rubbery overcooked flavourless seafood. Rude staff. An assassination of an amazing food. Don't waste your time.

Excellent ! The food was very good! Big variety of fresh see food !! The staff is friendly and very attentive! A bit pricey but money worth spending

For those who like us the flavors of the sea can stay excited. Congratulations!

I was yesterday at lunch, and I expected much more from a renowned restaurant and with many positive reviews! disappointed!
