Grotta Palazzese Beach

We stayed for 4 nights in this property.unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. For a 5 star hotel our room was very small....with a small bathroom where there wasn't even room to put things... As soon as we arrived...we made the wrong entrance to the car park and behind us there was a lady (who was part of the staff who with her arrogant tone made us understand that we had made a mistake...there are ways of saying things, you need tact Unfortunately the rooms are not like the photos.... Courteous cleaning staff Breakfast room staff....courteous but more attention would be needed (yes they forgot to bring breakfast...another day they brought open butter which had certainly already been used by another table...another day the hot yoghurt was always definitely taken from another table. What to say??? A little disappointed and not up to the 600.00 euros per day.... NOT private beach. I would like to point out that we had a sweeter two-course lunch each (starter first course and first course second course dessert normal wine for a total of 220.00 not bad for fish cuisine...a little exaggerated in the prices WE WILL NOT RETURN!!! Incredible! Been traveling through Italy for a good 3 weeks and have always had great accommodations. We wanted to visit the Grotta Palazzese restaurant and therefore booked a room in the hotel. When we booked online, we were suggested the branch Grotta Palazzese Beach Hotel, also with 5 stars, which we then booked. It wasn't stated anywhere that this hotel was about a 15 minute drive from the Grotta Palazzese! We paid EUR 350 for one night and assumed that we would get 5 stars. The room is not worth 3 stars and especially not at this price!!! The bathroom and especially the shower is far too small, the rubber seal in the shower was halfway hanging down, there is no toilet brush, etc. etc. When we arrived we wanted to go to the beach, we were shocked when the lifeguard told us we had to pay 200 euros!!! And that at 4 p.m. in mid October! Unbelievable to advertise a hotel as a beach hotel and then collect money for using it! Really a disgrace! The only positive thing was the visit to the Grotta Palazzese restaurant a truly magical location the hotel reserved a nice table for us! Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 1

Average price quality. The very minimal room, ditto restaurant and reception... compared to the price paid. Abundant breakfast but the quality of the desserts needs to be improved...they almost seem packaged. I appreciated the shuttle to the restaurant (at least the one included in the price), I found the beach excessive with a fee of 200 euros for the month of October. Rooms: 3 Service: 3 Location: 3
