San Martino Italian Bites - Pokolbin

We went to the Hunter Resort as we had heard about a great cellar door.... We were very surprised to be able to watch a 10 minute film on wine-making (it was very interesting too!)... Our host David was very informative and answered all our questions - he was great!!!

Bigest & best meal in a restaurent belonging to a resort I have ever eaten The entrée is as much as you would find in any other high clas resorts main meal.

The staff make you feel very welcome. There is a nice bar and restaurant. The food is of good quality (although the Cajun inspired dinner menu is not to my personal liking). The accommodation is dated, but clean. The location is good and there are plenty of things to do. The spa services are very good. The wine theatre and tasting is very good and some of our party did the Sedgway tour and loved it.

Stopped here for lunch and enjoyed homemade pizza lunch washed down with beer paddle. Great staff service and atmosphere

Had a beautiful experience at the San Martino, the onsite restaurant of our accommodation at the Hunter Valley Resort. We ordered the lamb rump, pizza and a few sides. Everything ordered was delicious and well priced. The service was excellent, the setting was candlelit, romantic but also very family friendly. You can order from the San Martino and choose to sit in the brewhouse bar or outside for a more casual setting - having those options were great for us because we simply shifted from romantic dinner to casual late night drinks under the gazibo on the hill in the matter of steps.
