Simply stunning. The best cheesecake I have had in a quirky deconstructed presentation. The ambience was lacking though with the room full it was very loud with the timber floors bouncing the sound around. Also had breakfast the following morning with a wonderful buffet.
Kirkton Park evokes nostalgia for refined dining of the past, while Locavore continues in the same vein with its pleasant ambiance. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, though there was one waitress who unprofessionally cleared plates before we had finished eating, which was awkward. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend dining here.
This is a High Tea with good food and great views. Sweeping views of the rose gardens and the Brokenback mountain range in the background from the Conservatory are joys to behold. And then the food arrived! Not only sweet and savoury on a massive mounted plate but also hot freshly cooked food as well!. This was a most enjoyable high tea. A bit pricey at $65 per head it was still a great spread of all kinds of delicacies in a most convivial atmosphere.
Great place, excellent service and amenities. We had a valley view room which was very nice with an outdoor seating area. Good Nespresso machine the room and bar fridge with milk and water. Staff were excellent, attentive and polite. Breakfast was great with all the usual suspects as well as a juicer to make fresh juice. Room was spotless (bar 1 cobweb above bed). Only little issue was our toilet seat did not seem to be fastened to the bowl, not too much of a problem until it slipped off with me on it. I reported it to the house keeper who was walking past and it was repaired immediately , so I suppose you could not ask for anything more…it was fixed. Besides that, the taps on the basin both leaked from the top, just a small maintenance thing but should have been reported by housekeeping. Overall a very pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend and would go back.
This is a beautiful property and the room we had High Tea in was lovely. There was plenty of food almost too much. We had kids versions too but their tray was very chocolate brownie heavy. What was intriguing was we had to ask for Tea yep its a high tea. Then the choices of tea were average at best. They were just your standard teas eg: english breakfast. Due to COVID there was hardly anyone at the High Tea so service for mine could have been far more special then it was. We had a High Tea at The Convent a few months back and I would rate that higher.
