Francine's Fish Chip Shop - Plymouth

Lunch break. I ordered squid and was pleased to hear it would be 8-10 minutes because that meant that it would be freshly cooked. it was a good size filet for £6.60, perfectly cooked with a crispy teig. 5* sad I can't say how the chips, their textur suggested that they had sat one because. the great portion size wasted because my mother and I felt not inclined to eat them. 3* cannot fail the service.

He made us wait for 20 minutes, but we ended up waiting for an hour. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and overcooked. It was a terrible experience. As regular customers, we were extremely disappointed and unsatisfied for the first time.

Lovely fish and chips with curry sauce. chips are perfectly fried. fish tasty, I had the little one, but it was more than enough. the curry sauce wasn't the best, but was okay. the chips were fab, did I mention that?

We were lured in by the multiple award-winning fish and chips at this restaurant. We usually enjoy getting our chips from a chip shop on the Barbican, but decided to give this place closer to home a try. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the quality. The only positive was the large portion size, but the taste and texture of the chips were lacking. They were boiled on the outside and hard on the inside, leaving them flavorless. We suggest saving your money and visiting one of the many wonderful chip shops on the Barbican instead. This restaurant does not live up to its reputation and we were left unsatisfied with our meal.

Did not have to wait long but the food was awful spam fritter was burnt to a crisp, battered cod was tasteless and the batter was soggy and the chips were mediocre at best.
