Park Place Gastropub - Plymouth

If you're a craft beer enthusiast, you'll find a few options on tap, although we were hoping for a wider selection, given that it's a pub. I'm looking forward to trying the cocktails on my next visit. The restaurant does offer some outdoor seating, but it's limited, with only three tables for four and two tables for two. However, there’s plenty of indoor seating available.

I really appreciated the ambiance of the restaurant. Despite the building being narrow, it didn't feel overly crowded inside. Both my wife and I found the white fish to be quite bland, and the coleslaw was also lacking in flavor. However, the pizza tots made up for the lack of seasoning in the main dishes. I was also a big fan of the beer selections for our flights!

I had an excellent burger and would highly recommend trying it with the onion strings. The bun was a bit dry, though. My lunch companion ordered a fantastic salad, but they also noted that the bread that came with it was a bit stale.

The experience was just average. The food was good, but not exceptional, and the parking situation leaves something to be desired. The menu is extensive, which can make choosing a dish quite difficult—it feels like you're flipping through pages and pages. The space is small and somewhat noisy, but it has a lively bar atmosphere. Our waitress was excellent, although the hostess could have been a bit friendlier. The biggest downside, however, was the high prices; they felt excessive for what is essentially simple, pretentious fare.

The food is fantastic, and the service is even better. Plus, they allow dogs on the terrace! They offer delicious burgers, wraps, and salads—definitely the best dining experience in DTP!
