Nico Vali Italian Eatery - Plymouth

I have been here a number of times with my husband and enjoyed it. Tonight I was dining alone and received very poor service, although the food (Asiago Baci) and apps were great. I understand many restaurants are short staffed, so I wasn't upset about things taking a long time. But I was disappointed that I was neglected as my server frequently checked in with the larger parties next to me but walked past my attempts to flag him down. I get it, bigger parties tip more so they get more attention, but it made ordering difficult. I was prepared to just chalk this up to a bad night, but near the end of my time as I was signing my bill and preparing to leave a different worker came over and rudely asked me to give up my table and move to the bar because she had a group waiting that needed my table. Without waiting for me to answer she reached down and picked up my umbrella next to me to usher me away with my things. I had my bill so I was able to leave, but I was kind of speechless I waited my turn at the hostess to be seated just like anyone else, and if I hadn't been ignored I would have dined much more quickly and likely already gotten my bill and left by then. My favorite Italian restaurant in Michigan!!! The food and service is amazing. My boyfriend and I go here frequently and have yet to try something we don’t like. Bucatini Carbonara and Asiago Baci are to die for! 100% recommend

Wonderful food, friendly staff and fast service. I was looking for a last minute reservation on a Thursday night, how this place wasn't booked solid is beyond me. I am so happy we were able to get our 6:30 reservation, even arrived a few minutes late
