Hidden next to the French school, hard to navigate, but really the best Turkish culinary experience on this side of Istanbul. Beautiful service and great value with strong portions. The salads are amazing, the kebabs are red (especially the lamb one) and the huge freshly fired lavash is a meal in itself, especially when accompanied by the fresh hummus. And don't forget to order a jug from Ayran as they have a sophisticated mixer machine that makes it brilliant. Plenty of space with more privacy on the upper floor for those in discreet mood. A true Okakbaşı!

The food is good, prices also fine but anything else like atmosphere and servic is far from good. Just go early cuz it's a long wait. The special bread it's a must and one of the best künefe ever!

Good food, price ok. But such a slow service and no atmosphere at all. Also it goes by a different name now: ILYAS А is the kunefe desert.
