Sweet Freedom Bake Shop - Pleasanton

My husband and I had a custom cake done for our wedding. This was one of the best decisions that we made!! From the start, GinaMarie was incredibly kind and understanding about all of my dietary restrictions. She was able to do customizations and was very transparent about all ingredients used. We ordered a box of cupcakes to try as a sample for our cake (the bride's box) and they were absolutely beautiful and delicious. For our wedding cake, we did a carrot cake with a rose design in the frosting. The cake was BEAUTIFUL and so delicious. It was moist, and the cream cheese frosting was hard to stop eating!! We ended up getting a ton of compliments on the cake too.

The standout feature? Everything is incredibly tasty! They are moist and full of flavor, and every time my friends and family, who eat gluten, try them, they are astonished to learn that the desserts are both gluten and dairy-free. It really is that impressive! At one party, we served a cake from Sweet Freedom alongside regular cupcakes, and everyone kept going back for the cake because they found it so much better! I can't recommend her highly enough!

GinaMarie did an excellent job on the cake for my son's first birthday. It had a fiesta theme and was absolutely perfect. We also ordered a matching smash cake. The sprinkles added a fun touch, and everyone loved it. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the cake!

I ordered a small yet impressive baby shower cake for a "My Little Peanut" themed celebration, and everything was fantastic. The communication was clear and straightforward, and we had a thorough discussion about the details I wanted for the cake. The online ordering process was seamless. I chose the decadent chocolate flavor, and it was incredible! It was moist, not overly sweet, fluffy, and absolutely stunning. I provided an inspiration picture, and the actual cake turned out ten times better. You could really tell that true craftsmanship and passion went into creating our cake. All the guests loved it just as much as we did! You might think an 8-inch cake wouldn't serve many, but we were able to get about 25-30 slices out of it, and it was fantastic!

Updating my review to just mention how much I still love Sweet Freedom Bakery! I have ordered numerous cakes, cupcakes and cookies. We are never disappointed! Our favorite flavor is the cookies and cream cake but we are always going to be partial to that flavor since it was our wedding cake. :)Everytime I bring their treats to an event no one even knows they are gluten free! It's really amazing how great the quality is. Anytime I need treats I always order through them. They are super responsive and just lovely to work with.
