The owner noticed we hadn’t eaten much of the polenta bites and asked us about it. When I said they lacked flavor and the sauce was thick and flavorless, she immediately offered to bring us something else. I said I was eyeing the shrimp ceviche, so she brought that. It was DELICIOUS.
Love Pairings V2.0, new owners are stepping up the entertainment and quality of wine and food.
Maybe have more, shairable plates for 4 people. Portions were small. Maybe vary and increase the menu. Enjoyed the wine. I will come back
Really wanted to like this place. I think for wine flights cheese boards in the summer it might be fun. For Valentines Day, not so much. The menu was limited (wish we had been told in advance). The scallops appetizer was good. We got ribeye and chicken. Both were overdone and difficult to cut with our knives. Whatever was in the middle my chicken was thick and gloppy, something like you would expect at a large business meeting (think rubber chicken dinner type food). I found a toothpick in my chicken, not an expected or fun discovery. The plain white rice side dish had no flavor. Half of my vegetables were warm, the other half were cold. The warm ones were good. We were sat by an open door (within 3 feet) and it was freezing. They had live music, which is great, but way to loud for the small space. No chance of hearing each other speak. If they had skipped the live music, they could have moved the tables away from the doors. Service was fine, especially considering how hard it is to staff restaurants today. In the end, we left and stopped at a fast food place. It was a shame, it is such a cute place. I might try it again for wine flights in the summer if I can sit outside and have a cheese/meat tray.
