Yax-lum - Playa Vista

If you're on any of the tours from Palenque that go to Bonampak, Yaxchilán, and other sites in the area, you're likely to stop here at the Restaurant Yax-Lum. It's a large thatched roof structure right off the Carretera Fronteriza del Sur (the road that diverts off of main Highway 307). Even though this simple place is still a bit touristy, the coffee, eggs, and fruit are delicious, especially on the foggy mornings that often hang over this area.
