We were a group of colleagues who planned an evening for socialization. The basement floor with many niches for good conversation, the sports facilities, meals and the device were all excellent. Bokking should be well in advance because of the central location in the city.
Heinrich's is right at the town center, you go a few steps under the Rathous. The arched stone walls originate from the 1300. The food and service were some of the best we experienced in the two weeks we spent in Germany.
The original town hall was built in 1382, and although the upper part of 1548 went up in flames and was replaced by the Renaissance building, Heinrich's is located in the basement of the town hall and is located in the walls of the 1382... You can eat either in the historical basement or on tables outside on the main square. Food is excellent, service is good and of course the Star City Hall (it is connected to the New Town Hall, built in 1904, when Plauen was one of the first major cities in Germany with 128K inhabitants and a private American consulate.
The original Rathaus was built in 1382, and though the upper part went up in flames in 1548 and was replaced by the Renaissance Rathaus, Heinrich's is located in the cellar (Keller) of the Rathaus and is located within the walls of the 1382 structure. You can either eat in the historic Keller, or on tables outside on the main square. Food is excellent, service is good - and of course the Rathaus is the star (it is attached to the New Rathaus, which was built in 1904, when Plauen was one of Germany's first large cities with 128K population and its own American consulate.
