Arthur House - Platteville

This is a wonderful spot for family and friends to gather for dinner or drinks. We ordered an appetizer, but the waitress informed us that it was unavailable. She kindly suggested we choose something else and even offered it to us for free. Both the food and the salad bar were excellent!

The Arthur House is a quintessential Wisconsin Supper Club that has stood the test of time. The salad bar is typical, but the fish dishes are outstanding. They occasionally host seafood buffets that are excellent and provide choices for those who aren't fans of seafood. If you're a fan of comedy, you'll enjoy their various shows in the back room. The venue also offers ample space for special events such as wedding receptions, anniversaries, or large birthday parties. I must say, though, I miss the vintage charm of the old restrooms since they were updated. For those on U.S. Cellular, be aware that cell service in the building is quite limited.

The waitstaff was friendly and performed excellently. We tried the fish special on Friday night, and it was flavorful with decent portion sizes. However, there was an issue with consistency; some pieces were larger than others, which affected the cooking. The thicker pieces were cooked perfectly, while the thinner ones were overdone and chewy. The salad bar was enjoyable as well.

It's an old school breaker club. Had a great dinner and taken in the comedy show. Both were excellent! Such a great bargain. They've been there for several years. Bill and his staff are never disappointed. Very recommended to make the trip to Arthur

Salad bar is good. Fish is good. Twice baked potatoe very good. wine $4 . My hangup is a musty first impression smell. And cobwebs in booth area.
